Degree Program
The Associate of Science Degree in Network Administration/Hardware with Wireless Technology is composed of a combination of courses, which provide entry-level skills in such areas as network design and administration and network configuration. Course work emphasizes Windows and A+ training. This program is designed to prepare a graduate for entry-level employment in network administration.
Computer support specialists and systems administrators are projected to be among the fastest growing occupations over the 2002-2012 period, according the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupation Outlook Handbook.
The rapid spread of computers and information technology has generated a need for highly trained workers to design and develop new hardware and software systems and to incorporate new technologies. These workers-computer systems analysts, database administrators, and computer scientists-include a wide range of computer specialists.
The Network Administration/Hardware with Wireless Technology program is relevant due to the need for certified system engineers. The FTC program will help prepare students for the Microsoft Certified Program, Microsoft Certified System Administrator, and Microsoft Certified System Engineer.
